CHICAGO, I.L. (WIVB) - If the Buffalo Sabres couldn't do it, the next best this is having one of Buffalo's own win the Stanley Cup. Top honors are going to Buffalo-born Patrick Kane. Kane not only helped the Chicago Blackhawks win the cup, but he was also named MVP.
Will Pat Kane bring the Stanley Cup to this area, like he did last time? Only time will tell, but Buffalonians are celebrating anyways. People on social media were commenting Monday night and Tuesday morning, because the 24-year-old from South Buffalo has won hockey's top honor for the second time in three years.
Kane said, "It's unbelievable to be in this situation and ya know, there's role players on the 2010 team that meant a lot to us that couldn't stay with us."
