BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Sabres have announced their 2013-14 regular season schedule. The Sabres season opener is October 2nd in Detroit, with the home opener two days later against Ottawa.

After a league-wide conference realignment was agreed upon this offseason, Buffalo will play their 82-game schedule with the following breakdown: 30 games against divisional opponents; 24 games against non-divisional opponents in the Eastern Conference and 28 games against non-conference teams.
