BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - If you can't wait until next season for some hockey, you may want to head down to Canalside July 12th for the Sabres Summer Fan Fest. The Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Place are teaming up to host a day of hockey entertainment on the waterfront.
The Sabres announced Tuesday that the Buffalo Sabres rookies will have a scrimmage, and it will be followed by a 10,000 Maniacs concert at Canalside.
Fans can arrive at the First Niagara Center at 3 p.m. to watch the rookies wrap up their week-long development camp, which will start at 4 p.m. Following the scrimmage, there will be evening entertainment at Canalside.
At 6 p.m., children 12 years old and younger can get autographs from the Sabres rookies. Music will begin at 6 p.m., with 10,000 Maniacs scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. There will be a fireworks show after the concert.
