BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Sabres will hit the ice Wednesday night in their first game of the season, and will return to Buffalo Friday for their home opener. The team is encouraging fans to arrive early Friday for the Party in the Plaza.
The event will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. outside of the arena in Alumni Plaza. The event with feature live music from local band The Informers, and there will be food and beverages available to purchase.
A pregame handout will be given to fans as they go into the arena, to see the Sabres take on the Ottawa Senators.
The Sabres also announced Tuesday that the team captains are forwards Thomas Vanek and Steve Ott.
