BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Sabres forward Corey Tropp is finally on the verge of playing in the NHL again, after more than year of battling back from injuries.
Tropp suffered a severe knee injury last year playing for the Rochester Americans during the NHL lockout, tearing his ACL. He recovered quickly enough to return for the final week of the season in the AHL.
Then this year, Tropp broke his jaw in the preseason against Toronto, forcing him to the sidelines once again.
Sabres Head Coach Ron Rolston says Tropp could return this Saturday, when the Sabres host the Anaheim Ducks.
