BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Sabres are checking items off the team's "to do" list, with a busy offseason quickly approaching. Buffalo, signing defenseman Mike Weber to a three-year contract extension.
Weber tweeted about the news earlier Thursday evening. The team confirmed his signing shortly after 9pm.
On a team that mostly struggled defensively, Weber was a rare bright spot last season as one of the team's steadiest defensive players.
He would have become a restricted free agent this offseason.
