BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Former Nichols and East Aurora basketball star Stan Wier asked for, and received, his release from the UB men's basketball program.
If Wier transfers elsewhere, it will mark his fifth different program in five years, including high school.
He starred for Nichols as a sophomore in high school, winning a state title. He went to a school in Indiana as a junior, before returning to the Buffalo area to play for East Aurora as a senior.
