WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for the So. Tier Co's. of New York from 7 PM this evening until 7 PM Wednesday and from 4 PM this afternoon until 7 PM Wednesday for the No. Tier Co's. of Pennsylvania.  

A double-barreled storm system will explosively intensify off the middle Atlantic coast on Wednesday, but WNY will not receive the brunt of this storm. Lt snow will spread northward across the region Tuesday Afternoon reaching the metro by late afternoon.  Snow, occasionally moderate south will continue overnight. The snow will be widespread, but accumulations in the s tier and nrn PA will be somewhat more significant. More snow will fall on Wednesday, but the primary storm will again target D.C., Baltimore, especially Philadelphia, and NYC--with near blizzard or blizzard conditions possible by Wed afternoon.  Stay connected with the very latest forecast with WeatherWatch 4 and wivb.com. 

TUESDAY AFTERNOON;  Cloudy with a flurry, steadier Lt. Snow will spread No'ward reaching the metro mid-late afternoon. High; 25-29, Wind: NE 5-15.  Snow overnight, 1-2" will accumulate on the Niag Frontier by morning, and 2-4" in the srn tier and nrn PA. Low; 19-23.

WEDNESDAY; Snow tapering to Snow Showers by later.  Another 2-4" possible, the wind increases PM with Drifting Snow, High: 25-29. NE/N 12-20. Scattered Snow Showers overnight.

THURSDAY; Mostly Cloudy and Breezy with Scattered Snow Showers. High; 26.

FRIDAY; Partly Sunny with a Few Lt Snow Shwrs. High; 26.

SATURDAY; Mostly Cloudy, High: 28.
