Joseph Koehn was originally arrested on state charges in 2009 after he tried to buy a 4-year-old girl to use her in a pornographic film. Federal authorities later took over the case and the state charges against Koehn were dropped.
In April 2012, Koehn was found guilty of trying to buy the girl for $25,000 and attempting to produce child porn. He was also found guilty of possession of child pornography, which prosecutors say showed children under the age of 12, and some of the depictions contained violence.
Koehn was sentenced Tuesday and will spend the next 20 years in prison.
