BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - On the day after the Feast of St. Francis, Bishop Malone will bless animals on the front lawn of his Buffalo residence on Oakland Place.
The simple ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The tradition of blessing animals, ranging from dogs to cats to hamsters and all other two-legged, four-legged and no-legged creatures, is conducted as a remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi's love for creation.
