NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. (WIVB) - After less than a year on the job, Tom Crowley is no longer Niagara University's Athletic Director.
The school is not giving any details about the decision. Steve Butler will serve as interim AD. He is currently the associate AD for external relations.
Crowley came to Niagara last October. During his brief stint, the Purple Eagles won regular season conference titles in both of the school's marquee sports: men's basketball and men's hockey.
Crowley hired Chris Casey as the new men's basketball coach earlier this year, after long-time coach Joe Mihalich left to take a coaching job at Hofstra. Several star players followed Mihalich out the door.
