Kayla Green

Kayla joined the News 4 WIVB team as a reporter in June of 2021 and is excited to tell the stories of her hometown!

Kayla is a Cheektowaga native and graduated from Maryvale High School in 2015.

Kayla launched her career as a reporter at News 4’s sister station in Rochester, News 8 WROC, in 2019. She spent two and a half years there, covering hard-hitting stories and breaking news including the Daniel Prude death investigation, the summer 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, the Rochester City School District’s budget deficit, and the COVID-19 pandemic. She also loved telling stories of everyday Rochestarians doing amazing things!

Kayla attended SUNY Brockport and received her bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcasting in 2018. While at Brockport, she was involved in the on-campus TV station, Talon Television.

Throughout college, Kayla interned at WIVB, Spectrum News Rochester, and CNN Newsource in Washington D.C.

Kayla is a huge Bills fan and loves everything Buffalo, especially the Erie County Fair. She has a pitbull named Nova and loves going to the beach, concerts, and Finger Lakes wineries.
