Melanie Orlins

Melanie Orlins has spent the past 10 years anchoring and reporting at news stations in the Midwest and along the East Coast. She joined News 4 in July 2017 and anchors News 4 Wake Up and News 4 at Noon.

Before joining News 4, Melanie served as a morning anchor and investigative reporter in Harrisburg where she anchored FOX43’s five-hour morning show.

While there, Melanie helped to increase the morning show’s ratings. She received recognition for her reporting on tracking down deadbeat parents and regulations on local railways.

Prior to her time in Harrisburg, Melanie was an anchor and reporter in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where she reported on the synthetic marijuana crisis. Her reporting on the issue led to the passing of new laws in the state legislature. She also received regional recognition for her reporting on the state’s abortion laws.

Melanie started her career in front of the camera in Tallahassee, Florida.

Melanie graduated with honors from Florida State University. She enjoys spending time on the water with her husband, Max and black lab, Sioux.
