BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — As part of News 4’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the station is hosting its Hispanic Heritage Special, which can be viewed above.
The special features stories of members in the local Hispanic community and is hosted by News 4’s Sarah Minkewicz, Chelsea Lovell, and Tara Lynch.
They spoke with a family who adopted from Colombia through FANA, an artist who works to help local kids and shares his story and Latino pride through music, community leaders who discussed the Puerto Rican and Hispanic Day Parade, the owner a family-run Mexican restaurant.
Additionally, the president of the Hispanic Heritage Council of WNY sat down with News 4 to talk about fundraising efforts to build the Hispanic Heritage Cultural Institute on Buffalo’s West Side, as well as when the council plans to open the doors to the institute.
