Sunday night, the world of singers and songwriters convened in Los Angeles to take part in a ceremony only fit for a queen — The Queen of Soul that is.
The event, hosted by the Recording Academy, paid tribute to the career of 18-time Grammy Award winner Aretha Franklin.
The unforgettable night featured performances from Franklin’s legendary archives by some of music’s biggest stars, like Jennifer Hudson and Celine Dion.
The two say it was an honor to take part in the show that was all about remembering the life, legacy and career of Aretha Franklin.
The two-hour primetime event was hosted by Tyler Perry.
