Red Hot Chili Peppers play concert at Egypt’s Great Pyramids

The Red Hot Chili Peppers played on a one-of-a-kind stage in Egypt over the weekend.

The funk-rock band performed for more than 10,000 people in front of the country’s Great Pyramids.

The group opened with “Can’t Stop” from the 2002 album By the Way and followed with “Californication” and plenty of other hits.

The concert was promoted by Egypt’s tourism ministry, which is trying to put the country back on the map as a prime destination after an uprising in 2011 scared many visitors away.
