Niagara County announces an additional 7 positive COVID-19 cases, one new death


LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Thursday, July 16

The Niagara County Department of Health says a 99-year-old woman with underlying health conditions has died as a result of COVID. That’s now 95 deaths from the virus in the county.

According to officials, there is also seven new positive cases to report, bringing the total to 1,368.

Fifty-one cases remain active with one individual hospitalized.

The county says 1,222 individuals have recovered and 42,268 people have been tested.

Wednesday, July 15

Five new positive cases of COVID-19 have been found in Niagara County.

To date, 1,361 cases have been found in the county. 1,200 of these cases resulted in recovery, but 94 other people died.

Currently, there are 67 active cases. One of these people is hospitalized.

A total of 41,603 people have been tested for the coronavirus in Niagara County.
