Gov. Cuomo says summer school classes will be held virtually

Coronavirus

(WIVB)–According to Governor Andrew Cuomo, schools will not reopen for in-person summer school classes.

They will be virtual, as the state continues to keep an eye on how COVID-19 is affecting kids.

He says it’s still too early to make a decision about schools reopening this fall.

Cuomo says the state will issue guidelines for reopening in June, and schools will provide plans to state for approval.

The state is now investigating 157 cases of that illness in kids, which might be related to COVID-19.

Governor Cuomo reports that 13 countries, and 25 U.S. states have reported cases.
