30 in 30: Quenton Nelson

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- “I would consider myself a nasty player.” Quenton Nelson’s highlight tape backs that statement. Need more evidence? Just ask his Notre Dame teammates.

“He’s not lying to you, he’s about as nasty as you come,” offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey said. “You just see him game after game with some kind of highlight reel block that’s just jaw dropping for people and he makes plays all over the field and he was a great leader for us and it runs off on the entire program.”

The Notre Dame guard started 36 of his 37 games with the Irish. Last season, he didn’t allowed a sack or a quarterback hit.

“I think I should be in the top five conversation because you have guys that are dominating the NFL right now in Aaron Donald, Geno Atkins, Fletcher Cox, that have just been working interior guys and you need guys to stop them and I think I’m one of those guys.”

Scouts agree, most believe he will be drafted inside the top 10.
