4 hospitalized in crash involving truck, Metro bus and school bus

News

Four people were hospitalized after a crash involving two buses and a pickup truck in Buffalo.

Around 9:30 a.m., NFTA officials say a school bus was stopped at Fillmore Ave., near William St., when a truck apparently ran a red light and hit it.

After the first collision, the truck then hit a Metro bus.

No students were on the school bus, but three people on the Metro bus were injured — the driver and two passengers who were identified as a mother and her child.

The pickup truck driver was also hospitalized. It is not clear what condition any of them are in.

Earlier in the day, there was another collision involving a Metro bus. Around 8 a.m., a bus hit the porch of a house on Dingens St.

One of the bus’s passengers was taken to ECMC for observation.
