Allegany County announces first death from COVID-19

ALLEGANY COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVB) – Allegany County officials have announced the county’s first death from COVID-19.

The individual who died was over 60 and had health conditions that could have compromised their recovery from COVID-19, the Allegany County Department of Health said in a statement Monday.

No other information is being released in order to protect the family’s privacy.
