The Buffalo Bandits saw their 2019 Championship hopes fall, as they lost to Calgary 14-13 in overtime, falling in the NLL Championship series 2-0. 

Calgary opened up the first quarter scoring first on a power play, but the Bandits answered right back as Shawn Evans lit the lamp. Both teams would trade goals again before Buffalo went on a 3-1 run to take a 5-3 lead early in the second quarter.

Calgary would piece together a five goal run to take the 8-5 lead. The Bandits would stop the bleeding when Chase Fraser scored his second of the night. The Roughnecks would score with .4 seconds left on the clock to head into the half with a 9-6 lead.

It was a slow start to the third quarter, but the Bandits went on a 3-0 run to tie the game at 9-9. Both teams would trade goals with time winding down to head into the fourth quarter in a 10-10 stalemate. 

Calgary scored two goals early in the fourth quarter to take the 12-10 lead. Buffalo answered with two of their own to tie the game at 12 with just under 4:00 to play. The Roughnecks and the Bandits would trade goals, as Buffalo scored with :24 seconds to send the game to overtime. 

Rhys Duch would net the overtime winner for the Roughnecks. Calgary would win the 2019 NLL championship 2-0. This was the first time the Bandits lost back to back games all season.
