CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bass Pro Shops is challenging families to put down their digital devices and discover the joys of fishing.
The company, along with Cabela’s, donated more than 55,000 rods and reels to a non-profit organization that helps kids from all backgrounds.
A donation ceremony was held Thursday at the Cabela’s store in Cheektowaga.
The Gone Fishing movement is a nationwide movement that gets kids and families connected to nature each summer.
The Rushford Conservation Club received the donated rods and reels.
