BLASDELL, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bennett High School football star Isaiah McDuffie had twice been nominated for the Connolly Cup Award, given to the most outstanding football player in Section VI.

On his third and final try, at least, he won it.

The Bennett senior racked up more than 1,500 yards rushing and added 111 tackles to lead Bennett to a sectional title. Now, the Boston College commit adds another trophy to the collection.

“Definitely has to be one of the best accomplishments of my life,” McDuffie said at the Connolly Cup banquet, held at Ilio Dipaolo’s Restaurant. “I’m just very happy to be able to receive this award.”
