A Buffalo man is charged with criminal impersonation following an incident last Saturday.

Officials say on March 30 at 3:30 p.m. officers witnessed 48-year-old Lemont Hughes dressed in a police uniform walking on Bailey Avenue.

Hughes was allegedly wearing a combination of police and federal agency uniforms with a vest, body camera, police badge, radio and a gun belt that held handcuffs and a fake gun.

There’s a felony hearing set for Hughes on Friday at 9:30 a.m.

He faces a maximum of four years in prison.
