Buffalo man found guilty in fatal I-190 shooting

A jury found Juan Colon, 22, guilty of one manslaughter charge on March 8, 2019, Erie County District Attorney John Flynn announced in a news release.  

Colon faces a maximum of 25 years in prison, according to the District Attorney. 

He is scheduled to be sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Susan M. Eagan on April 16 at 9:30 a.m.

According to the news release, Colon remains remanded without bail.

A 22-year-old Buffalo man has been indicted in a fatal shooting on I-190 North earlier this month. 

Juan Colon has been charged with one count of second degree murder. 

It’s alleged that around 6 p.m. on July 9, Juan Colon fatally shot 26-year-old Angel Marcial of Buffalo while he was driving on I-190. 

He was remanded to jail and is scheduled to return Sept. 20. 

If convicted on all charges, Colon faces up to 25 years in prison.
