A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to dog fighting.

Joshua Mack, 35, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty to one felony count of prohibition of animal fighting in Erie County Court.

In March, a search warrant was executed at Mack’s Roma Avenue home. Seven dogs and one puppy with various levels of injuries and scarring consistent with dog fighting were rescued from the home.

Dig fighting paraphernalia was also removed from the property.

The dogs were brought to the SPCA Serving Erie County’s infirmary for treatment. Three of them have been adopted.

Mack faces a maximum of four years in prison when he’s sentenced Sept. 21.
