BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man from Buffalo turned from a Navy Pilot to an Actor. Now he’s making a mark in Hollywood and bringing hometown pride with him.

His name is Alan Pietruszewski. He’s a retired navy commander who graduated from Lancaster High School and Canisius College. He spent over 20 years in the navy before deciding to make a big career change!

He’s now a full time actor, voice over artist and producer. He’s appeared in several commercials and TV shows like Criminal Minds, Hot in Cleveland and CSI. He spent the past few weeks here in Western New York filming an independent film that’s tentatively called Curtains. He worked with Fred and Chris Olen Ray who have also made several other films in Buffalo.

“We shot in some great locations the first day we shot at Ilio Dipaolos restaurant and then we shot extensively at the Riviera Theatre so the Riviera Theatre you could arguably say is a lead character in the film. To be in Buffalo working in the entertainment industry the town that you’re from and love, will never come out of you I’m blue and red for life with the Bills and eating chicken wings 5 time at my favorite place is just unbelievable,” said Alan Pietruszewski, Actor.

Alan says he was very impressed with the quality of the crew in Buffalo. He’s heading back to LA tomorrow but says he hopes to come back to shoot a second film here at home in buffalo.
