Buffalo Police to start training with BolaWrap device

News

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Police officers in Buffalo will soon start using a new technology to stop suspects.

The “BolaWrap” restrains people at the waist and knees.

Buffalo Police showed how it works in September.

The pandemic pushed back training sessions for the equipment, but on Monday, police officials announced that training for the Bola-Wrap will start in the next couple of weeks.
