BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A woman with a history of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol is in trouble with the law again.
New York State Troopers pulled over Buffalo native Edith K. Isaacs, 60, after they say she committed traffic violations. Troopers investigating Isaacs’ car say they found several different pills she wasn’t supposed to have in her possession.
Police also say she was acting intoxicated, but couldn’t tell if she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. She was arrested but refused to take a breath test and a blood draw test.
Isaacs was charged with felony DWI (third offense) for alcohol or drugs and three counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Police remanded Isaacs to the Erie County Jail with no bail. She’ll return to court at a later date.
