Canisius lost its second straight conference game, falling to Rider 88-70 Sunday afternoon at the Koessler Athletic Center.
Takal Molson, who didn’t have a field goal in the first half, finished the game with 13 points and was just 1-for-7 from beyond the arc. Isaiah Reese went 0-for-9 from distance and had just 10 points. The Griffs were led by Malik Johnson, who finished with 14.
Canisius travels to Quinnipiac on Thursday.
Niagara scored 50 points in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as Rider answered with 68 points over the final 20 minutes of action in a 104-84 win over the Purple Eagles on Sunday.
Khalil Tate led NU with 19 points which included a 5-for-9 effort on 3-pointers.
Niagara travels to Siena on Thursday.
