Western New York native and former NFL Quarterback Chad Kelly has pleaded guilty to 2nd degree trespassing.

Kelly, the nephew of Bills Legend Jim Kelly, has been sentenced to 1-year supervised probation and will serve 50-hours of community service. He will not serve any jail time.

In the early morning hours of October 23rd, 2018 — police in Colorado went to an address where Kelly was reportedly standing outside. When they responded, Kelly was reported to be inside the residence.

Official documents say Kelly, who was uninvited, sat down on a couch and started mumbling incoherently.

I don’t know what the circumstances are where he ended up inside this residence,” said Englewood Police Sergeant Chad Read back in October.

Officials say he was then chased out by another man who hit him in the back with an aluminum vacuum tube.

Kelly was taken into custody last year on October 23rd without incident.

According to officials with Colorado’s Judicial Department, Kelly must complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and participate in treatment, if ordered by probation.

He could serve his sentence in another state if approved.
