The Town of Cheektowaga Police are looking for suspects involved in two attempted arsons this week.

Police say both attempts took place at the Eggert Express located at 1558 East Delavan. The first incident happened at 2:05 a.m. when surveillance cameras show a male throwing a Molotov cocktail at the window.

The window broke, but cardboard backing caused the bottle to bounce onto the sidewalk.

A tenant was able to extinguish the wick before it was lit, according to officials.

Another attempt was made Thursday at 11 p.m. when surveillance cameras once again caught a man throwing a Molotov cocktail through an open door, as the owners were cleaning up. The wick was once again extinguished prior to fuel ignition.

Anyone with information about the two incidents or who can identify the two men is asked to call Cheektowaga Police Department at 686-3505 or 686-3969.
