A gas leak has forced the College at Brockport to evacuate buildings.

Most students are off for the summer, but there are summer classes still underway at the school.

In a tweet, the college says a contractor hit an underground gas pipe between Rakov and Seymour College Union Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters say nearby buildings were cleared because of the leak from the high pressure gas line.

The college is asking students to stay clear of the area while crews are working to repair the line.
