Corey Green found guilty on four counts of arson in Lackawanna apartment fire

A 21-year-old Buffalo man has been found guilty by jury of setting a fire at a Lackawanna apartment complex that caused severe burns to several residents, including children. 

Corey Green was found guilty on four counts of third degree arson. 

According to the Erie County DA’s Office, Green intentionally set a fire in the back entranceway of the Ingham Avenue apartment building in the early morning hours of April 22, 2017. 

Four families were living in the building at the time. 

Three were able to escape unharmed. Lackawanna Fire rescued a family of five who was trapped in the upper rear apartment. 

Green faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when he’s sentenced Oct. 2.
