A member of the Buffalo Common Council is planning to meet with the board of the North Buffalo Community Center to discuss a fatal triple shooting which took place Friday night.

Buffalo Police Captain Jeff Rinaldo said the incident occurred in the parking lot of the community center while a family party was taking place inside.

“I can’t recall anything of this severity happening in that neighborhood,” said Councilman Joel Feroleto, whose district includes St. Lawrence Ave., where the shooting took place.

Police say three teenagers were shot during the incident. Deron Allen, 18, of Buffalo died at ECMC Saturday morning. The other two victims, Clifton Eutsey and Marquese Richardson, both 16, were injured. Richardson has since been released from ECMC. Eutsey was listed in fair condition as of Monday afternoon.

Feroleto said he has already had conversations with members of the community center’s board, and will meet with the entire board “in the next couple of days”.

“I want a rundown on the details, their account of everything that happened, and if there are ways to improve any internal policies or procedures,” Feroleto said.

Deborah Cielencki, the community center’s executive director, did not return phone calls and emails Monday.
