Buffalo woman charged with trying to bring drugs into St. Lawrence County prison

OGDENSBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) - New York State police say a Buffalo woman tried to bring drugs into the Ogdensburg Correctional Facility.

Tonya Bensman, 43, was found with synthetic marijuana and cocaine when trying to visit the prison,  police say.

She faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and promoting dangerous prison contraband.

Bensman is being held at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
