BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — For murder and attempted murder, a 19-year-old from Buffalo was sentenced to 131 years-to-life in prison.
Diamond Lewis was convicted of two counts of murder, six counts of attempted murder and other charges in October.
In October of 2014, Lewis shot and killed David Skipper, Jr., 22, on Erb St. The next year, in June, Lewis killed Alonzo Scott, 18, during a family picnic. Four other people were injured in the shooting. One of them was paralyzed.
Just months later, in August, prosecutors say Lewis shot at a man at the corner of Player and Kent. An 18-year-old woman was struck by the gunfire.
This past January, Lewis fired a number of shots at a group of people in front of a Fillmore Ave. store. During this incident, a 13-year-old girl was hit.
Lewis, who was shot, was arrested at ECMC the next day.
He was sentenced on Thursday morning.
