TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A former mail carrier pleaded guilty to not delivering more than 700 pieces of mail while on duty.

When sentenced on August 16, Jennifer Serrano, 26, could spend up to six months in jail and pay a $5,000 fine.

The incidents where Serrano did not deliver mail happened between March of 2013 and February of 2014. During this time, the Tonawanda woman instead brought it to her home and stored it.

She later resigned from the U.S. Postal Service.
