LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Lockport man has been indicted on charges accusing him of making a threat against the president, retaliating against a U.S. judge, retaliating against a federal law enforcement officer, and mailing a threatening communication.

According to prosecutors, Jared Brown, 23, sent a letter to a U.S. Secret Service special agent saying “I’m [ ] gonna kill Donald Trump with Anthrax when I get out.”

Prosecutors say Brown sent the letter in March. Along with this, officials say Brown threatened to assault and murder U.S. Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo, his wife and a Secret Service agent.

Officials claim Brown wanted to retaliate against the judge and the agent due to them performing their official duties.

If Brown is convicted, he could spend up to 10 years in prison.
