Man arrested for taking relative’s car to be used in drive-by shooting

BYRON, N.Y. (WIVB) — A western New York man is facing charges after police say he played a role in a crime that led a car to be used in a drive by shooting.

Police say they arrested Ryan M Bobzin, 26, and charged him with unauthorized use of a vehicle without owner consent. New York State Troopers say they investigated Bobzin after someone used his relative’s car in a drive by shooting in Rochester last week.

While police in Rochester attempt to learn all they can about the shooting, police in western New York jailed Bobzin on $1,000 bail.

He’ll return to court at a later date.
