BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man in critical condition after a day laden with gun violence in the Queen City.
Police say they rushed to the scene of a shooting on Whitney Place around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night. At the scene they found a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. First responders rushed him to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Detectives are asking for help in finding the shooter as the man recovers in the Erie County Medical Center. Anybody with information is asked to call (716) 847-2255.
Police in Buffalo are investigating three other shootings that spanned throughout the city during Tuesday, one of which left a barber dead just blocks from the Whitney Place shooting.
- An early morning shooting just before 2 a.m. on Hertel Avenue injured two.
- A late morning shooting at about 11:30 a.m. left a man dead on Niagara Street.
- Afternoon gunfire rang out on Broadway at about 3:15 p.m.
