CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bystanders who say they witnessed a man jumping in and out of traffic on a busy road called in for help and police responded soon after.
Police who were first on the scene Sunday morning say they saw a drunk man acting erratically by jumping in front of cars and jumping out of the way thereafter. When the Trooper attempted to talk to the man, identified as 21-year-old Scott Meyer, police say he didn’t cooperate and acted even more erratically.
Meyer reportedly acted belligerently during his arrest, and a Buffalo Police Captain who wasn’t on-duty pulled over to aid in the arrest.
When he finally spoke to police, officers say Meyer jumped in and out of traffic as a way to entertain himself because he had been walking a long time.
Meyer faces charges of Disorderly Conduct and will appear in court at a later date.
