A gun store in Genesee County has been the victim of a theft.

Deputies in Genesee County say, just before 11 p.m. Thursday night, someone broke into “The Firing Pin” gun shop on Buffalo Road in Bergen.

Thieves stole 14 firearms worth thousands of dollars. Deputies are now investigating the crime; the stolen guns have been registered with federal authorities.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 585-345-3000 ext. 3571.

The theft comes just a month after another gun shop, Chinappi’s in Parma, was shut down after a series  of thefts.

However, Genesee County deputies say there is no history of similar thefts there.
