IRVING, N.Y. (WIVB) — Following investigation and a search which utilized K-9 units, police arrested three men in connection with an armed robbery in Erie County.

Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies say they arrested three men, and charged each with felony charges for robbery, criminal use of a firearm and grand larceny. Police responded to the Seneca One Stop store and gas station on Route 20 in Irving after reports from an employee that he was robbed by three men who wielded weapons.

The suspects fled before deputies arrived to the scene, and a K-9 unit began tracking the suspects, but eventually lost the scent. With descriptions from the employee, police say they were able to identify the men and arrest them at their homes.

Police arrested Jeffrey Gizowski, a 42-year-old North Collins resident, and David Russel, a 35-year-old Silver Creek resident, on Tuesday. Gilberto Rosas Jr., a 44-year-old Dunkirk resident, was taken into custody a day later.

Each will return to court at a later date to answer charges.
