JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A traffic stop led one Jamestown man to handcuffs when police say they found a host of drugs in his car.
Jamestown Police stopped a car with Larry D. Johnson, 37, inside on Thursday when they say he failed to signal a turn. When the driver stopped the car, police say Johnson fled from the back seat of the car. A brief chase followed and police eventually captured Johnson.
On his person, police say they found 300 bags of heroin. That led police to charge the man with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and obstructing governmental administration.
Following arraignment, a judge committed Johnson to the Chautauqua County Jail. He’ll return to court at a later date.
