WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A West Seneca man who was previously convicted of sexually abusing a child, has now pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.

In October 2017, New York State police searched the bedroom of 27-year-old Justin Wheeler.

Wheeler had been on parole after a 2013 conviction for attempted rape, which stemmed from his sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl.

While searching his bedroom, authorities found a phone that contained 90 images and 269 videos of child pornography. Some content depicted prepubescent minors and depictions of violence.

When he is sentenced on October 1, Wheeler could spend up to 20 years in prison and pay a $250,000 fine.
