Wheatfield woman accused of attacking Uber driver

A Wheatfield woman has been charged with attacking her Uber driver.

City of Tonawanda police say Crystal Collins, 22, was picked up by a 41-year-old Buffalo woman on Saturday.

The driver was taking Collins from Buffalo to Niagara Falls when police say Collins became upset with the route she was taking.

According to police, the passenger was not happy that the driver bypassed Grand Island, and instead chose to drive through Tonawanda.

This is when police say Collins began hitting the driver in the back of the head and threw a pizza at her.

After this, authorities say Collins pulled the driver’s hair, got out and started kicking the side of the vehicle, putting dents in the fender.

The driver left and called police. Collins was later found at Main and Niagara streets in Tonawanda.

She was charged with harassment and criminal mischief.
