The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one-vehicle motor accident that occurred on South Street in the Town of Pavilion. 

According to the sheriff’s office, the vehicle was traveling south on South Street Road when it traveled off the west shoulder of the road and struck several trees before coming to a rest. 

The driver, a Piffard man, was taken to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia by Mercy EMS and was later transferred to Rochester General Hospital. He is listed in critical condition. 

It’s believed that the driver had a medical condition that was a contributing factor in the crash.
