EAST CONCORD, N.Y. (WIVB) — An electrical fire broke out in barns belonging to the Erie County Department of Public Works Monday morning.

Around 7 a.m., the fire began with an electrical component that was plugged into a wall.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz tweeted a photo from the fire after it happened.

There was minimal damage, and it was contained to the building’s break room. Poloncarz said that “quick action” by county employee Scott Wohlieter helped save the Sibley Rd. barns.
